This book is a compilation of Friday sermons and fatwas (legal rulings) related to usury, issued by the greatest scholars of our time. This work does not claim to address all subjects related to usury but focuses mainly on its severity and its undeniable prohibition, as the proofs drawn from the Qur’an and the Sunnah are evident to every sincere Muslim! And indeed, what kind of Islam do those claim to follow who still seek to distort the interpretation of the texts in order to permit people to engage in usury?

This compilation contains fatwas on the gravity of usury, its dangers, as well as some advice and recommendations from contemporary scholars such as Sheikh 'Abdul 'Aziz Ibn Baz (may Allah have mercy on him), Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Salih Al-'Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him), the Grand Mufti Sheikh 'Abdul 'Aziz ibn 'Abd-Allah Al-Sheikh, and Sheikh Dr. Sâlih Al-Fawzân (may Allah preserve him).

The selection of these fatwas indeed reflects the intention to direct Muslim brothers and sisters to the most eminent scholars of the community, but also the desire to help them become aware of the seriousness of practicing usury, which is an extremely grave sin and one of the major sins in Islam!
