The subject of this discourse is a short preface to the translation of this brief but beneficial essay written by the eminent and learned scholar, Shaykh ʿAbd ur-Rahman ibn Nasir as-Sa'di, entitled: Lessons Derived from Surah Yusuf.
In it, he strives to highlight an important number of lessons, morals, and principles that he was able to extract from the details of this major narrative, which will benefit every Muslim both in his acts of worship and his daily affairs, in his inner self and in his interactions with others.

We chose this essay and tried to translate it as best as possible into a language easy to understand for French speakers, so that many may benefit from these wonderful fruits gathered by the Shaykh for our use, and which they would otherwise have been deprived of. We cannot stop recommending it.
It is full of benefits that are sufficient to justify its study and presentation, as is customary among the scholars of this noble religion. We encourage the reader to go through the book at least three or five times, or seven, or more, in order to properly absorb the knowledge contained within.
