All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, the One without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger (may Allah’s praise and peace be upon him).
That being said: Here is an epistle containing a beneficial summary concerning the best of statements, the greatest, the most sublime, and the most beneficial: the statement of Tawhid — La ilaha illa Allah (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah), its virtues, its meaning, its conditions, and its nullifiers.
And this epistle is originally extracted from my work “Fiqh ad-Du‘ā’ wa al-Adhkār”, for some people of virtue wished to make it an independent treatise, hoping for the spread of its benefit and that deriving benefit from it be made easy. And I ask Allah to increase its blessing and to make it a gate of guidance for whom He wills among His servants. And may He guide us all to His straight path, the path of those upon whom Allah has bestowed His favours: the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. And what excellent companions are they!
And may prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions.
