The poem of eminence, the hâfiz ibn Abî Dâwûd, is not the first poem in belief, there is no doubt that it is one of the first. When the people of science began to fight the innovators with their tongues and their writings.

Al-Hâ’iyah has always held a high place and has been held in high esteem by the People of the Sunnah and the Group, at all times. Shaykh ‘Abd Ar-Razzâq ibn ‘Abd Al-Muhsin al-‘Abbâd al-Badr said in the introduction of his explanation:

"A brilliant and excellent poem, which is very well known and esteemed, well formulated, easy to memorize, it occupies a great place and is held in high esteem by past and present people of science. It is reported in a mutawâtir way from Ibn Abî Dâwûd. May Allah have mercy on him, and many men of science report it from him, like Al Ajurrî, Ibn Battah, Ibn Shâhîn, as well as others. And these last three were among the author's students. Many men of science have explained it... It is a great poem that clarifies the true belief on which the People of the Sunnah and the Group were. It shows the greatness of its author, the breadth of his science, his good belief and his sincere advice."
